Happy New Year to my lovely readers and Happy Birthday to me! I'm feeling incredibly lucky at the moment because I've got money to spend on a new iPod touch and a prom dress, plus some amazing presents from the girls. I realise I sound spoiled but I've never had this amount of money and cool stuff before so a massive thank you to my family and friends in in order!
There's only 5 hours left of 2012 as I'm writing this, which feels strange as it's all been a bit of a blur. So much has happened this year and I know this sounds cringingly cheesy but I really do feel like I've grown as a person and I've gone on a mini voyage of self-discovery in a way. I haven't had the chance to be as creative as I'd like this year so my new year's resolution is to take some time out for myself, mainly to further my creative writing skills and to stop myself moaning on here that I feel like an exam robot. I know that 2013 will be even more stressful than 2012 in terms of exams but I'm really looking forward to September when I start college/sixth form purely because it's a new start.
Anyway, enough of the deep thinking, yesterday I went to see The Hobbit with Ella, Sasha and Emily for my birthday. I have to say I was a little unsure at first but it got better and better and the riddle scene with Golumn and Bilbo really impressed me, it was the perfect mix of humour and suspense. Afterwards we went to Maccy D's for a catch-up even though we only saw each other a week ago!
I've been thinking how much the BBC has killed me this year...first the Reichenbach Fall then Rory and Amy leaving Doctor Who and then Merlin ending. Seriously.
Also thank you to everyone who has left me birthday messages on Twitter, you are the best! :-)

Forget Christmas...it's my bloggiversary!
Hello all! The 21st was (what I call) my bloggiversary- the one year anniversary of my lovely blog! I've written a grand total of 64 posts and I think all of them have actually been read by at least one real person rather than some kind of spam bot, which is great! Thank you if you are one of those people :-)
Christmas is in under 3 days now, which is pretty scary, this year has been a blur! I'm a bit disappointed with the weather as it's too warm to snow so instead it's been raining non-stop all day and it just doesn't look festive at all. But there's still presents and food so it's all gooood.
Speaking of presents, the girls got me some brilliant stuff including a huge box of Milk Tray, a Deathly Hallows symbol necklace and transferable Dark Mark tattoo, lip crayons, jewellery and a Doctor Who book! It's my birthday on New Year's Eve and we're going to see The Hobbit so I'm looking forward to that (and more presents of course!)
Last weekend I went to York with my mum and auntie (who have decided to have a massive argument just before Christmas and make Christmas dinner extremely awkward) and I got a new Cath Kidston bag, it's so purty! It's dark red with little beige polka dots :-)
I can't think of much else to say except from have a wonderful Christmas and don't hold back on the food and drink!!

Christmas, History and the Royal Baby.
Happy December- less than a month until Christmas! This morning I realised how fast this year has gone- it's almost a year since my first post on this blog! CUTE.
There is still a lot to do though- in a weeks time I have a History mock and a Geography mock. I started to revise for History on Saturday morning but I was constantly being distracted because Time Team's Greatest Finds was on TV and they found a really well-preserved Anglo-Saxon golden coin and it was so shiny and I just couldn't deal with the excitement. Plus my sister was sat upstairs watching Miranda and I was jealous. I've managed to create a mindmap of the first few topics we covered with key points which will hopefully jog my memory...hopefully.
My sister and I have put the little Christmas tree up and our room and we've hung some really cute ribbon with little stockings on it in the window, we have a red-themed room anyway so it looks extra festive! The big tree in the living room is going up tomorrow too, I can't wait! It makes the room look so cosy with all the
lights, I love it.
I found out today that I got an A* in the mock English exam that I thought I'd failed, but I just wish that could have been the real exam. The grade boundaries were super strange- the paper was out of 80 but you only needed 61 to get an A*- very weird! Knowing me, I'll probably fall to pieces when it comes to the real thing.
Also-congratulations to Kate and William- that child will be the best looking child ever to grace this Earth. I'm hoping it's a girl purely to make use of this new law. Also- do we get a bank holiday? *pleasepleaseplease* I've just heard about the receptionist who forwarded the hoax call to Kate's bedside- sometimes mistakes like that can be the final straw for people who are already depressed. So sad.
Band discovery of the week- The xx. Wow. Angels is beautiful.

The Calm Before the Storm
It's been a while! I'll start with the positives and end with a good old rant in an attempt to expel my frustration (not in that way, in an annoyed sense)
Anyway, The Killers concert was brilliant! I'm now the proud owner of a TK t-shirt which set me back £25, but hey ho. It's worth it in the long run! The show itself was brilliant, the lighting and everything looked so cool and the guys were on great form, I've no idea how they managed to sing so well for such a long time with only a two-minute break! I took my sister's iPod to get some photos (as mine is so old it doesn't have a camera) but of course it decided to run out of memory after I'd taken one video. Grr.
The concert was on a Thursday night and I got home at about half eleven, which wasn't too bad, but I went into school the next day and then got sent home 15 minutes later due to a power cut- back to sleep for me! I found out that the power had come back on about 20 minutes after we'd been sent home, just in time for the first lesson of the day. Awkward! So, yeah, all in all it was a good couple of days!
And now for my scheduled rant: I'm so indecisive about my A level choices and which sixth form/college to pick, it feels like there's a problem with everything I choose. My aim is to do a degree in History after college, but I'm not sure what A Levels to choose. Ideally, I want to do English Lit, History, Economics and either Geography or Politics. The best sixth form in the area doesn't offer Economics or Politics. The best college in the area is far away from my house and I'm unlikely to be offered a place anyway as my Maths and Science grades are too low. The sixth form nearest to my house belongs to the seventh best school in the country and offers the subjects I want, but everything I've heard about it is negative- the teachers make life hard for students who haven't attended the school previously and the other students are already in the friendship groups as they've been there for five years. Plus, as it's amongst the best schools, the students are so bright that sun shines out of their arses and I would look like a prize idiot compared to them. There's another sixth form not that far away but it has quite a bad reputation, not to mention Ofsted report. See my problem?
I know I'm not going to get into Oxbridge, but I'd like a decent degree from a decent university. It's panicked me a bit that most people on forums and the like take Maths and Science A Levels then progress to a History degree. I'm absolutely shit at everything related to those two subjects, I've had to work my arse off to even get B's, why are they so necessary? I feel like I'm classified as a bad student because I can only do Humanities and Arts-based subjects.
As if researching non-stop about all this on the internet isn't time-consuming enough (believe me, it is), I've recently found out that there's a week in December where I have a History mock, a Geography mock and a French speaking test on three consecutive days. Plus an English mock next week and a Physics mock at some point. The grades I achieve in these exams are my predicted grades- they're what I can expect to get for my final grade and what I give college/sixth forms when I apply. Bloody brilliant.

Indecisiveness is a terrible thing...
Hello lovely readers! It's that time again...new blog post time!
I've finally received my work experience placement, which I start on the 29th. It's in a little florists in town, which is good because it's easy to get to. I seem to have longer hours than most people, 9 'til 4, but I get two 15 minute breaks and an hour for lunch so it's not too bad. The only downside is that it's in half-term week so I don't get a holiday until Christmas!
I'm also a bit worried about my dear old laptop. It keeps freezing for no apparent reason and I have to restart it, although it makes the cutest squeaking noise when it turns off! I have had it for almost four years though so I'll probably have to get another one at some point this year. Funnily enough the new iPod touch has just been released so I could just make do with that...*hint hint* I'm downloading the newest version of Internet Explorer (I know, desperate times and all that...I'm a Google Chrome girl really!) so hopefully it'll speed up a bit.
My A-level choices are really beginning to stress me out now; I have no idea what to do as a career so I need to keep my options open, but let's just say Science and Maths are not my forte so obviously I'm going to lean towards Humanities subjects. I know I want to do English Lit and History but I still have two choices. I'd like to do Economics, but that is only offered at my top choice of sixth form and not at any others, so if I don't get a place there then I need a back-up. I'm good at Geography but I don't enjoy it as much as History, and I don't know if I have the focus to spend at least a year doing something that I'm not committed to. I don't want to make too much work for myself by choosing too many essay-based subjects but then there's a lot of subjects that aren't respected by universities so I'd be limiting myself if I chose any of those. I can't sing/dance/act/paint/draw either. Why can't I just be good at Maths?

The Midnight Beast!
The Midnight Beast gig was AMAZING.
We got there at seven and ended up at the back of the queue but it moved really fast so we were inside in no time! I was really surprised at how small the venue seemed but it must have been bigger than I'd thought because of all the people that were there! I'd say there was about 2000, maybe a little less. Anyway, we decided to buy some merchandise before the gig started. It was a good decision as the queue at the end was huge! We all bought wristbands and me, Ella and Emily bought flashing wands that we were waving all night! (Not a euphemism...)
The support acts came on just as we'd finished buying our stuff, I think the first was DJ Tuskah and the second was Unicorn Kid. I'm not really a fan of that type of music (really loud floor-shaking beats) but I didn't mind it. A lot of people were dancing but my dancing is sort of an awkward sway so I just stood there attempting not to spill my (overpriced) drink! The support acts were on for about 45 minutes, by the end of which everyone was practically deaf! There was a gap of about half an hour in between TMB and the support acts and the people next to us were getting a bit annoyed of waiting. Everyone cheered whenever a random person walked on stage! After about five impatient chants of 'TMB,TMB,TMB', the lights finally dimmed and they were on! Apparently I screamed really loudly when I first saw Dru...
The first song they played was 'I Kicked a Shark in the Face' which I was expecting- the tour is called 'I Kicked a Tour in the Face. The atmosphere was brilliant already and they had a person dressed up as a shark dancing around on stage which I loved! After this they sang some of their new songs that I haven't really heard as much, but I still enjoyed them. The first older song that they played was 'Friends For Never' which is definitely one of my all-time favourites! Everyone was singing along and waving their wands, it was amazing! They played a few more newer songs and then 'Lez Be Friends' which is another of my favourites! Ella and I swear that Ash looked at us at one point (in our general direction anyway!) His arms are literally the most beautiful arms ever. Swoon.
It didn't seem to have been a long time until they said it was their last song, but of course they came back on stage for an encore- the best bit of the show in my opinion! When the Harry Potter music from their song 'Wands' started to play everyone went crazy! By this time my wand-waving arm was aching like crazy as I'd been jumping up and down like a nutter all night but I pushed through! After Wands they sung their first song, a parody of 'Tik Tok' by Kesha. Shouting 'SHUT UP MUM, I'M ON MSN!' along with everyone else was hilarious! I think their last song was 'Booty Call' which is one of their best ones, everyone (including me) was singing their heart out with their croaky voices, the atmosphere was absolutely fantastic.
Here's a picture that Stefan took from the stage of the audience:
We were somewhere to the left near the blue pole! We had a good view despite being towards the back. Anyway, the concert finished at about 10.15 and we realised just how deaf, aching and croaky we really were! It was so worth it though, one of the best nights of my life!
Plus, unusually, I was the least tired out of all of us the next day!

Manic Present Wrapping
It's getting towards that time of year again...CHRISTMAS!! Well, it's only September, but all my friends and family conveniently decided to have their birthdays in the months leading up to Christmas, which means double presents for everyone. I was thoughtful and decided to arrive after Christmas so everyone can buy my presents in the sales or with their Christmas shopping. Today I've got everyone's birthday presents wrapped and safely stored in my 'present suitcase', but the house is now covered in sellotape and wrapping paper! Now I can save up in preparation for the nightmare that is Christmas shopping..
The past few weeks at school have been pretty easy-going to be fair. I've filled in my head girl application form and I need to hand it in tomorrow- I was unsure of whether to apply or not, as there's some people who are so confident and organised and mature and deserve it so much and I felt bad that I might get in their way so to speak, but my form tutor said he'd hunt me down with dogs if I didn't. I really hope I don't get as far as the interview stage; in my last interview I started babbling on about World War 2 and told a complete pack of lies. Speaking publicly is not my forte. At least I'll be able to put on my CV that I applied for the position.
Did I mention that Ella and I are going to see The Killers in November? ASDFGHJKL I CAN'T WAIT
It's also 11 days until we see The Midnight Beast in Leeds! It only seems like last week we got the tickets, where has this year disappeared to?

Films, Friends and Family
I'm sure you've probably come to expect a lack of regular posts from me by now but sorry anyway guys, you know how much I love you for reading my ramblings!
Last Friday we went to see Ted because it was the lovely Sasha's birthday. We all found it bloody hilarious, especially the 'parsnip' line which I'm still laughing about now (and is too rude to quote on here) and the end when the fat kid became Taylor Lautner! Nobody else in the cinema was laughing though which made it feel a bit awkward. Miserable sods. After that we went back to Sasha's for a sleepover: we made an amateur horror film but it kinda failed so we're claiming it's a spoof...There's so many one-second long videos of us just bursting out laughing so we have plenty of outtakes! I fell asleep at 2 in the morning but somehow Ella, Sasha and Emily stayed up until 6! I'm just not cut out for this no sleep lark.
In the morning we watched Happy Feet 2, made cheese on toast and ate Malteasers- a good way to spend a morning in my opinion! I had to go at about 2 because I was staying at my dad's house that night and I needed to sort my stuff out before he picked me and my sister up. The day after we went to see Brave which was absolutely stunning and adorable, Disney Pixar just keep on making great films!
On Monday and Tuesday I mostly just chilled out before going back to school. The holidays seem to have gone quickly but when I think back they seem to have gone slowly, I don't know. I'm feeling pretty good to be back at school for the final 9 months though, I just want to get it over and done with. The bad news is I'm in a chav-laden form but my timetable is okay.
At the weekend my mum's dragging us over to the coast again because, as usual, the weather is great when we've just started back at school and she wants to catch the last of the good weather before it turns crap again. I'm actually looking forward to winter, it's my favourite time of year! Christmas is always expensive for me because everyone's birthday seems to fall around it so I have to buy two presents for most people! I've just realised how expensive this year will be for me- I've worked out Christmas will cost me around £140, then next summer it's prom and I'll need a printer and more stationary and clothes for college. I have £25 at the moment but we'll be getting t-shirts for the TMB gig soon so that's £20 gone. Also my bloody phone has packed up AGAIN (no internet/Twitter=I can't survive) so I'll have to sell it when I get some money for my birthday and buy a new one. I have my eye on a good old reliable Nokia that still has my beloved qwerty keyboard and a Twitter app!
Thank you again for reading my blog- huge virtual hug for you!

Results Day, Act 1
Just a quick update to let you all know how I've done. These are only my Year 10 results but I'm as proud as punch of them! I met Emily at school as we didn't want to pick them up alone, she's done as well as me! Here goes: RE- A, English Lit- A*, Maths-B, Geography- A*, Chemistry-A, History coursework-B, overall Science grade- B.
I don't know how the hell I managed to get an A in Chemistry or an A* in the English exam considering how bad at Science I am and how messed up the English exam was! I nearly cried when I got them as I was so surprised! Also, Emily has given me a Guitar for Dummies book so I can properly crack with learning the guitar now! Life is good...

In which I travel and feel sick a lot...
Apologies for this post being super tardy...I've been on two holidays in one week! I honestly can't remember what I did the week before that except from walking around various shops with my Mum looking for purple bathroom accessories that had to be an exact shade of purple, only for her to then decide she wanted to go back to blue. Such fun.
On the Saturday morning before last we set off early in the morning to go over to the coast for four nights. We stayed in a lovely hotel owned by Gina and David who were so helpful and genuinely nice people. The room was nice and breakfast was scrummy so I can't fault them at all! We were really lucky with the weather and were sat on the beach every day, but we went to Scarborough on the (stupidly busy) train, and I spent all my money. I bought a book, the sequel to I Am Number Four by Pittacus Lore and some make-up from Boots. The next day I bought a jacket in the sale and a Chinese lucky cat which has already stopped waving! The only bad point of the trip was when I woke up in the middle of the night feeling as though I was about to be sick, then finally managed to get back to sleep only to have a dream in which I got an E in all of my exams. Oh and I also sunburnt my feet to hell- I felt so annoyed with myself as I seem to get sunburnt every year and there was posters everywhere near the beach saying that sunburn doubles your risk of getting skin cancer. Shit.
We got back home on Wednesday morning, then went to my grandma's to tell her about our holiday. I unpacked all my things then had a nice cup of tea and some biscuits. We spent Thursday and Friday mostly at home then on Saturday morning we set off to Stratford-upon-Avon for the weekend with my Auntie. On the first day it took us almost four hours to get there so we went to some little villages in the Cotswolds. The first one was called Stow-on-the-Wold and it was your typical picture postcard kind of place. Most of the shops were overpriced, but my mum insists on going in charity shops to pick up a bargain. I think most of them smell strange and sell a load of crap but I buy a book or two occasionally. Anyway, this charity shop was posher than the average one and didn't smell funny; most things were from Laura Ashley, Next or those posh old-lady shops rather than Primark! There were some designer sandals that were originally worth £300 but I couldn't fit my wide feet into them unfortunately:(
The next village was called Bourton-on-the-Water but I didn't like it as much as the first village as it was packed full of annoying tourists (screaming kids and old people walking at the pace of a snail.) You couldn't swing a cat in most of the shops so I was just stressed out all of the time I was there. It was also really humid which didn't help matters, and the water was a tiny 'river' which was ankle deep. I'd say it was more of a stream.
We went back to our hotel after that and had our evening meal, then watched X-Factor. That Pink tribute act was a bit of a psycho, wasn't she? That's what happens when parents lie to their kids about how talented they are...Mel B was a bit of a bitch as well! I liked the hotel (Holiday Inn at Coventry) but I have three complaints: there was no Yorkshire Puddings as part of the carvery at dinner, the toasting machine left me with a choice of burnt toast or slightly warm bread and the wi-fi was overpriced. It was okay overall though.
The next day we went to Stratford-upon-Avon. It reminded of York- a mix between old and new. There was a little artists/craft market so we looked around there for a while and took a few pictures. We looked around some shops until we got to Shakespeare's birthplace. I took some photos of that then went mad in the Shakespeare gift shop. I'd spent all of my money so my mum bought me a gold quill pen (I will be the envy of all at school) and some Shakespearian insult badges! I'll show them to people at school when they're being prats, which is most of the time. It was another really warm and humid day but I didn't get sunburnt this time! We set off home at about half past three and got back for around seven. We ordered a pizza and I ate too much and felt as though I was going to be sick (again) but thankfully I wasn't.
Also, I have a music dilemma. I was running out of music to listen to on my iPod on the way home. Seriously, I have almost 500 songs and I like about 70 of them. I just sort of pick my two/three favourites from each album and never listen to the rest of it again. I've downloaded some albums over the past couple of weeks and found about five songs that I like from as many albums. My favourite song at the moment is Ayla by The Maccabees-give it a listen! I like sort of alternative/indie/rock music. If anyone can recommend something it would be much appreciated!

I got 99 problems and Apple is all of them.
I'm writing this post whilst I'm waiting for an 'iPod software update' to download. If you read my last blog post then you'll know that I had a massive rant at Apple because their security is so tight it borders on ridiculous. Some may think this is a good thing but I think it's daft, especially when you forget the answers to your security questions (like me) and can't buy anything because they think you're an identity thief. After waiting for 3 days, more than the promised 48 hours, I finally received an email from 'Leonard' (I'm convinced these people use fake names-the last time I contacted Customer Support I got an email from 'Brandy') telling me that my security questions had been reset! Huzzah!
So I made new answers to my questions and wrote them down this time so I won't forget again, then went to the iTunes Store to buy the book that my sister wanted. I downloaded the book then was told my sister's iPod needs a software update to put iBooks on it. Hence the reason why I'm waiting for it to download. It is actually going pretty fast to be fair so I don't mind too much. 'Leonard' said that they'd received more complaints from customers than usual and thanked me for my patience: if only he knew.
'Super Saturday' at the Olympics really was super, with Jess Ennis, Mo Farah and Greg Rutherford all winning gold medals within an hour! I was so proud of Jess especially as I honestly thought she'd crumble under the pressure that's been placed on her, but she was so strong through every event in the heptathlon and was the most worthy winner.
Yesterday was the final day of the tennis, with Andy Murray featuring in both the men's singles final and the mixed doubles final with Laura Robson! Either way he was guaranteed to win two medals which I think is brilliant! Unfortunately I was stuck in Leeds train station in the middle of this bloody huge thunderstorm while Murray was playing Roger Federer, I've never seen rain like it! We were sat on the top floor looking out of the huge windows and the thunder shook my chair at one point! It lasted for about half an hour so our train ended up being delayed but we hopped on another one and I got home in time to see the doubles. I thought Laura Robson had improved her play so much, especially her serves, and Andy didn't even look that tired!
We'd been to Skipton Castle that morning and were on the train back to Leeds when the rain started. At the castle they give you a badge which says 'I have explored Skipton Castle' and this sheet to help you find your way around. The castle is fairly small but it gets confusing because everywhere looks the same! In the central courtyard is this huge Yew tree which was planted in 1679, if I remember rightly, and there's lots of doors leading off it to various sections like the watch tower and the rooms where all the documents were kept. My dad pointed out the holes in the doorways where the locks to protect the documents were. My favourite room was the dungeon- it was hard to get to it as the staircase was small and quite slippery but once you were down there you felt for the prisoners kept there as it was small and the air was really damp. Apparently some people had been kept there for up to 13 weeks (the period between court trials in York) without fresh air! There was crosses carved into the walls; my dad thought they were stonemason's marks but I like to think the prisoners made them as it's more interesting! We also went into the kitchen and the wine/beer cellar.
They also did a battle re-enactment between the Cavaliers and the Roundheads, as if the castle was being invaded which was good to watch.
Oh brilliant. The download is finished but it can't update because I'll lose all the contents on the iPod. So now I've wasted half of my internet allowance. Thanks a bloody bunch Apple!

If ranting was an Olympic Sport I would have a medal.
Hello! The last time I posted was just before the Olympic opening ceremony...what a week it's been! For the past couple of days I've been stressed and tired and generally not in the mood to write but I feel better now!
I thought the opening ceremony was brilliant although I had to get up early the next morning, so I stopped watching it at about quarter to eleven. I loved the Voldemort versus Mary Poppins part and I thought it was nice how Danny Boyle mentioned the NHS after everyone moans about them constantly. They do the best job they can and save countless lives every day, where would we be without them? Anyway, the Olympic cauldron was lit by the right people (would still have preferred David Tennant but we all knew that was almost impossible) and the whole thing went almost faultlessly- go Britain!
Another reason to cheer for Britain is that we are currently in third position on the medals table, with 10 Gold, 7 Silver and 8 Bronze medals overall! Every time I go out I hear that we've won another medal on the radio or through Twitter, I hope we can keep this up until the end of the Games! I've really been enjoying watching some new sports like Gymnastics, Rowing and Swimming as I wouldn't normally watch them, but the Tennis has been great as well! Andy Murray is through to the gold medal match but I'll miss it as I'm going to Leeds with my dad! This is becoming a trend...
Today I've watched Jessica Ennis who comes from Sheffield (in the same county as my hometown, good old Yorkshire!) compete in the heptathlon. She's in gold medal position with just the 800 metres to go which I'm sure she will ace! I felt for Rebecca Adlington as she thought she'd let everyone down by getting two bronze medals but a medal is a medal and she's an Olympian! I've barely moved from the sofa all day, compared to everyone else she's an inspiration!
The reason why I was (and still am) stressed is because I tried to buy my sister a book from iTunes but it said it was the first time I had made a purchase on my computer so I had to answer my security questions, which obviously, being me, I have forgotten the answers to. So I went to the apple website and tried to reset my security questions. Here is the frustrating part- you can't reset your security questions unless you know the answers to your original questions. How stupid is that?? I know people have their accounts hacked but other websites manage to be secure without it being like bloody Fort Knox to the average non-account-hacking person! As if this couldn't get any more annoying, I've emailed Apple through their 'Express Lane' (express lane my arse) twice now and despite claiming they reply with a solution within 48 hours, they haven't replied to either of my emails.
I could make a new account, but that would mean the money on my other account would be completely wasted and I would have to spend £15 on an iTunes card as I don't have a credit card. I sound really tight with my money but £15 is all I have to spend and I'm going on holiday next week so I don't want to spend it on something I don't really need! If they don't reply within the next day I'm going to throw my iPod from a 20 storey building and send them a picture of it laying on floor with it's screen all cracked. Pure evil.
Also, I was planning on buying a digital camera so I could post some more pictures on here to share with you but with £15 I won't get far in that quest, although in a few months I can play the National Lottery so I have one in a million odds of winning some money to buy a camera with! I live in hope...

I am actually excited about sport. What?
Bonjour readers! As I'm writing this, there is precisely 3 hours until the Olympic Opening Ceremony...is everyone excited?? I must admit, I actually am looking forward to it. I only like certain sports (Tennis) and some athletes annoy me (Tom Daley) but it's taking place in my home country and I'm feeling so proud of Team GB!
As this is Britain we're talking about, something will almost definitely go wrong at the Opening Ceremony but hey, we'll laugh about it one day- lol and move on as my lovely friend Ella would say! I'm in suspense as to who will light the cauldron with the Flame, I'm still holding out for David Tennant! It's time law and the universe would implode so steal that torch, David!
I promised I would take some pictures of Emily's birthday meal, but I only got chance to take one and it turned out blurry...we had a really good time though! Emily liked her presents and the staff sang Happy Birthday to her, cowboy style! The food was lovely too, we all had a burger and fries, then Ella and I shared an Oreo ice cream sundae and Sasha and Emily shared a 'Brownie Temptation'. We all had a bit of Em's gorgeous birthday cake as well, yum!
Today I went into town then did a bit of baking with my mum and sister, I made an apple crumble and my sister made some buns with icing and chocolate buttons- my crumble was nicer! :P Now I'm settled in my place on the sofa in front of the TV, surrounded by various gadgets so I can Tweet away through the ceremony!
Tomorrow we're going to Bridlington on the East Coast for the day, but I'm a bit gutted as I'll miss Andy Murray's first match of the Olympics, if the Radio Times isn't lying to me!
Enjoy the Olympics everyone and have a good weekend!

Eden does stuff and forgets what day it is.
Well hello there readers! I'm sorry for the longer delay than usual between posts, I've been super busy what with finishing school for the summer and other things which I will tell you about now: on with the show!
Cast your minds all the way back to...well that failed, I can't even remember what day it is! A couple of weeks ago? Anyway, I was so nervous about my French speaking test and the awkward situation of being in a room that smells of stale coffee with my French teacher holding a bright yellow recording device in my face. Well that happened, but my actual speech went really well! I forgot a bit of it but I just carried on with what I could remember and I got an A!
After that was over, I felt so much more relaxed but I still had the mock interview to do before I could be properly excited about finishing school. Mine was at 9.25 in the morning which I was glad about so I could get it over and done with, but I had to miss part of my English assessment. I was supposed to be with interviewer number 9 but I ended up with number 13 (O.o) who was a guy from 'Turbo Technologies' called Frank.
He asked some really weird questions based on my application form, such as "Why such a large contrast between library work and legal work? "(the options I chose on my work experience form) I don't know, I'm just interested in them! I'd said that I liked reading on my form as well, and I told him that I liked reading classic stuff like Pride and Prejudice, but also sci-fi/fantasy as well, like The Lovely Bones, then he asked why such a large contrast between the two genres-how am I supposed to answer that, I just like those types of novel! The other questions were "What are your strengths/weaknesses?" and teamwork things, to which I lied through my teeth, mostly. I told one lie and then my whole life became one big lie and I sound like a compulsive liar (I'm not) so I'll shut up.
I got some really positive feedback overall though so I was pleased that it was finished! We had to dress up in the clothes that we'd actually go to an interview in, so I wore chinos and a blouse with heels that my mum lent to me, but they hurt my toes. I soldiered on though because I enjoyed strutting around!
The weekend after that, je suis allee au Durham avec ma mere, grandmere et soeur pour un jour! It was smaller than I was expecting and there were lots of drunk people wandering around because there was the Miner's Gala, but the cathedral was beautiful and I enjoyed having a walk around. I bought The Maccabees album and Bombay Bicycle Club's album for £10 from a scary woman in HMV, they are both really good! Especially The Maccabees, it's my kinda thing!
I had a relaxing Sunday at home after that, then there was just one more week of school to go! We found out our new form tutors for next year, mine is my History teacher who is hilarious but the form is full of chavs so I'll be sat alone in the corner, hiding. Yay. We also got our reports and grades, mine were a mixture of As and Bs so I'm pleased with that:-)
Enough chat about school, the rest of the week went without too many problems! On Friday we finished early so we got fish and chips and went to Ella's house, where we watched Tangled and started a whistling choir, as you do! Yesterday I watched Date Night which I hadn't seen before, but I found it really funny! I also ate too much pizza and chocolate but life's too short not to!
Today I went into Manchester to go shopping with Dad and Angie, pappa bought me a skirt to wear to Emily's birthday meal at TGI Friday's on Tuesday! I will post pics of that later on in the week, I'm really looking forward to it as we've bought her some cool presents and they do this gorgeous cake! Just hoping she's remembered to book the table...

In which I receive two mysterious letters...
Bonjour! I bought (well, when I say me, I mean my mum) a super speedy and sexy new dongle today, the first time it connected to the internet, I was just sat there like woooah, that's fast. Can't believe I haven't upgraded my dongle in four years. Anyway, geekery aside, I have the internet and I can actually move around! I believe this is a cause for celebration!
I also have another reason to party-I've been made a prefect!! I found out yesterday morning and it made my day:-) I'll tell you how I found out:
*Sat in class drenched from thunderstorm that started just as I walked out of the door, teacher hands Emily and I a letter each*
Me: "Why can't I open letters normally, it takes me forever! Ooh, it's actually addressed to me for a change!"
Emily: "I know, I wonder what it's about?"
Me: *finally opens envelope, reads letter* I'm a prefect!! Aaaaawww yay!! Are you??
Emily: Aaaaah, me too! Yaaaay I'm so happpyyy!
*hugs*
Teacher: "Let's have a round of applause for our two prefects!"
*nobody claps*
Me and Emily: "Don't bother clapping then, we'll remember this when we have chance to boss you around, haha suckerrrs!"
So that was that, I found out that Ella, Sasha and basically everyone I like are also prefects, but unfortunately we have to wait until next year to get our badges and ties, boo. But on the bright side, my CV now looks considerably better and I get to go to lunch early next year! I call this a win.
Speaking of winning, go Andy Murray! Hit Tsonga in the balls then won the game! It was a brilliant match overall though. I think tennis has the most comedy value of all the sports, the highlights of this game were slow-motion yawn guy and "More balls, please!" I think I'll miss the final tomorrow, but I'll keep up with the score on Twitter, I'm proud of Murray for getting to the final whether he wins or loses to be honest:)
On Thursday I got another letter saying I've won an award for 'subject excellence' at awards evening on Monday 16th, I assume it's for History as it's the only thing I'm actually good at. It's the first time I've won an award since Year 7 and I've put so much time and work into History this year so I'm very pleased!
I just want to get this week ahead over and done with, then I'm stress free!

I'm baaaack and haven't been drowned in mud!
Hello! I have returned into civilisation and appear to have missed everything! I found out that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are getting a divorce on the front of a newspaper at a petrol station on the way home, and Adele is pregnant! Plus there's a Doctor Who forum website:)
Soooo, Geography camp. I can safely say that despite how much I love my wellies (they're Hunters, how can't I?) I don't want to see them again for a while because I've been living in them for 4 days! As soon as we stepped off the coach, everyone grabbed their wellies out of their suitcases because the field looked like a swamp with a few tents in the middle! There was stagnant water in puddles on the top which absolutely stank and there was a stream running through the middle of the field. Lovely.
Our tent was huge, but it got a bit cramped with eleven people in it, plus two double airbeds and the mountains of luggage that everyone had bought! My suitcase weighed a tonne but didn't take up too much room in our corner. The highlights of the trip were the legendary line 'I'm only cutting my sausage!' and taking the piss out of Sophie's posh telephone voice. The low point was definitely getting caught in a storm and all my work getting soaked through and ripped, plus climbing up a giant hill in my heavy wellies for no reason.
Also Emily's anger is the funniest thing ever. Don't cross her or she'll throw a stone at you, swear at you or shine a torch in your face! Be afraid!
We were all so tired on Saturday morning from going to sleep and waking up at silly hours (going to sleep at half past eleven then waking up at five was the worst) we all ran to the minibus as quickly as we could! It took us ages to pack the tent away as we were trying to fit it in the wrong bag which was way too small, we must have rolled it up five times!
When I got home my mum and sister had made me a welcome home chocolate cake with giant white chocolate buttons on top- yummy and cute! I watched Harry Potter then I had a splitting headache so I went to bed and slept for 12 hours which was the longest I've slept in ages:)
Shortly before I left for camp my dongle broke which means I couldn't access the internet yesterday, but today I've managed to fix it a little, but I can't move or I'll have no connection! Hopefully I'll get another one tomorrow or at the weekend, but it's so awkward because there's this guy in the 3 store who fancies me! He knows what amount of internet I need as soon as I walk in and he always stares at me when I walk past the shop. Creepy!
I'm so glad I never have to go to camp again, and there's only three weeks of school left. I have to do a French speaking test then an English controlled assessment but the thought of the summer holidays is keeping me going! This time of year always goes ridiculously slow though.
I'd also just like to share my love for Wimbledon. I was so shocked when I found out that Rafael Nadal was out of the competition! I support Andy Murray but I know he'll just get to the semi-final then lose like he does every year. How can't you get your hopes up for our beloved yet moody Scottish tennis whizz? I could sit there watching matches for hours (and I do). I was especially proud of Murray when he beat that cocky American sod Baghdatis, he kept smiling and practically going '"ooh, look at how high I can hit this ball, everyone look at me and my tanned skin, oh yeah, I'm bossing this shit." Then he lost. Haha.
I'll post again sometime soon, hopefully with a new dongle so I can move around without losing my internet connection!

PS- Just discovered that this is my 50th post! Thank you so much to everyone who's read my little blog, virtual hugs and cakes coming your way! xxx

Hello there, remember me?
Hello! So sorry for neglecting you for the past couple of weeks, I truly am back for good now! (Except for when I go camping to a sheep shit filled field in Wales for four days at the end of the month but I'm trying not to think about that too much) Thank you so much to everyone who's read some of my previous posts while I've been revising my head off, I really appreciate it! :-)
So, the question I'm sure is on your lips (or not) : how did the exams go? Well, about standard for me, it could go either way, either a B or a C in Maths and Chemistry. The Maths paper was easy but I know I've got the two last questions completely wrong and I've made lots of mistakes so we shall see. The Chemistry paper wasn't as bad as I was expecting but I had to guess quite a few questions. I'll try not to be too hard on myself if I end up with Cs because I know that I revised as much as possible. There's always the resits!
I've only got the Geography exam left now, it's on Monday morning which is good as I have this weekend to revise then it's out of the way! I can relax for about a week after that then I have to go on camp to do Geography coursework, then I have a French speaking test.
Not much has happened apart from that since half-term, all I've been doing is eating, sleeping, going to school and revising! I've been sat in my bedroom on my laptop for hours everyday, whilst my mum brings me food and cups of tea to keep me going! I'll buy her an extra special birthday present to thank her and for not being at home much on her birthday as it's the TMB gig!
I've also got a cold and it's been constantly raining for a few days so I'm just trying to plough ahead and keep going until the summer where I will probably sleep for a week! One of the invigilators tripped up over a chair leg in the middle of the Chemistry exam which was rather amusing:) We've finally got my Dad's presents sorted for Father's Day tomorrow, my sister bought him two boxes of chocolates today and I bought him a mug too. My wrapping is terrible so I've hidden everything in a gift bag but I inherited my lack of wrapping skills from him so it can't be helped!
Right, shall post soon! Virtual hug for you all! Also could you follow @enablingevie on Twitter and read her blog? She's a little girl who's very poorly and needs your support! Thank you:-)

Also, congratulations to Amanda Redman for receiving an MBE! Very much deserved:) x

A very very long week.
I saved this post as a draft last night as I was too hyper to type but it seems to have deleted itself. Why thank you Blogger. (By hyper I don't mean on drugs/alcohol I mean listening to rock music after a day of revising.)
Anyway, hello! The original intention of this was to tell you about this past week before I return into exam hibernation but it's gone so fast I can't remember most of it! Mental exertion here I come...
On Saturday I bought one of those Nice and Easy foam hair dyes in 'Light Auburn' to cover up my terrible roots with and let my mum apply it in case I messed it up- it turned out bright red! I manically washed it and lots of dye came out so it looks much better now:) I took this photo after I first dyed it but it didn't capture the brightness and is actually what it looks like now:
I do like having this hair colour, I think it suits me 100 times better than my natural colour:)
On Monday I watched the Jubilee celebrations although I missed the flotilla thing- was it really terrible coverage from the Beeb? I was reading the Daily Mail this morning (very posh, I know) and there were so many people complaining about it! We watched ITV for both the Royal Wedding and the service on Tuesday morning so I can't really speculate too much.
Tuesday was the sleepover/movie marathon at Ella's house! We watched Insidious which was scary but not the worst thing I'd ever seen! Ella and I were hiding behind my pillow for a lot of it though as we are complete wimps when it comes to horror films! After that we watched the Inbetweeners Movie which I thought was really funny and then Black Swan which I love:) After that we watched Sucker Punch, which wasn't what I was expecting but I liked it nevertheless! I went to sleep after that because I'd stayed up 'til late for the past few days:)
Emily had to leave to go to the dentists later in the morning but Ella and I introduced Sasha to the comedy genius that is Miranda Hart then had a healthy dinner of giant white chocolate buttons, Doritos and various other sweets! (Just to clarify, I am a Northerner, therefore dinner=lunch and tea=dinner. Simples!)
I started my revision that afternoon for Maths and Chemistry and up to today have completed 3 Maths past papers and two Chemistry past papers, plus lots of MyMaths (the website of Satan himself) homework.
On Thursday I returned to Ella's house to walk with the Triple E group to Geoggers revision at school. The walk turned out to be a stroll down an alleyway dodging nettles and slugs, followed by climbing over a wall, fighting off plants, walking across a wet field then being the last to arrive and covered in grass. In the afternoon after spending 2 very dull hours in Geography, I went see Prometheus at the cinema with my mum, it was brilliant!
Today I'm continuing my revision although I've just spent an hour on Tumblr and writing this...story of my life! This morning I didn't even realise it was Friday already-only 5 and a half days until the next round of exams!

Happy Jubliee Weekend!
Hellooo! It's been a long week but a good one! Monday started off fairly depressing as it was our first English lesson since the exam, which our teacher admitted to buggering up and everyone got a bit annoyed. We all had to write angry letters to the headteacher- mine was very angry because if the sixth form I want to get into see that I've got a bad grade or I have to resit the exam then they won't let me study English Lit there!
The next English lesson wasn't as awkward as the day before as we've started comparing a poem to Macbeth and doing a bit of drama which is fun! In our performance I play a drug dealer and a 'bimbo' who is killed in a nightclub. It is a comedy piece though! We watched everyone else's performances today and they were so funny!
On Wednesday Emily and I had to take some prospective headteachers on a tour around the school! I was really nervous as I thought we'd have to take one candidate each but we got to go in a group of three which made it less awkward and it was actually quite good in the end. One of the people we liked made it to the final stage of interviews so I hope she gets the job:)
It's the half term now but it really doesn't feel like it seen as I have so much revising to do! I have Maths on the 13th, Chemistry on the 15th and Geography on the 17th!
We're also having a sleepover/film marathon at Ella's house on Tuesday which I'm really looking forward to! We've got the Inbetweeners movie and boxset, plus Black Swan (so I'm not the only one to be traumatised by the sex scenes).
I've just downloaded Google Chrome because Safari is sloooow on my laptop. I feel like I'm betraying my beloved Safari but Google Chrome is fast and I have a Cath Kidston theme so it's pretty! I also had my fringe cut today so I can see properly now!
I hope everyone has a very British Jubliee weekend and enjoys their long weekend! God save the Queen and all that jazz! Thank you so so much for reading:)

Eden moans about exams. Again.
Hello my lovely readers, hope you're enjoying the sunshine! Or the peace if you're vampire-skinned like me and everyone else is outside while you're sat inside alone! I've been in hibernation because of exams but I'll be posting more updates for a while until the next set.
I've got my R.E and English Lit exams over (possibly-more on that later) so now I only have Maths, Chemistry and Geography to do in June. Then it's camp and mock interviews and all that jazz then I'm freeeee for the summer:)
So the R.E exam was on Wednesday morning and I actually revised (I know, how good am I?) and I wasn't feeling too nervous about it. The exam itself was pretty easy and I think I only messed up one question so hopefully I'll get a B or above.
Today was the English exam and I wasn't nervous for that really either as I had studied three poems in detail, one of which was definitely going to come up in the exam. Or so we were told. What actually came up was a choice of two questions: Compare a crappy poem we had spent one lesson on to another or compare a poem we had never studied at all to another. So yeah we were buggered.
Everyone started talking and complaining and the Year 11s had to be taken out because they hadn't studied any of the poems at all which really distracted the rest of us. The only poem that I thought of links to was one of the three I had initially studied but it was the one I liked the least so I couldn't analyse it as much, but I tried my best. The school say they'll appeal to the board but I don't know what will happen- it's probably the teacher's fault for not making us study every poem but it's also the exam board's fault for basically lying it would be one of three poems. Apparently lots of angry parents have rung in to complain but my mum still doesn't understand why we don't have one exam at the end of year 11 so she's a hopeless case...
I personally think we should all get our predicted grades or at least a chance to retake it as some point as we were distracted so much and given the wrong information. It's still stress that I don't really need though.
I'm going to give myself a break from revision for a couple of days but then I need to start Chemistry and Maths revision...le cry.
Oh yeah I bought my dad some pencils that are also drumsticks because I am at a complete loss as to what else to get him!

I'm going to hibernate now...
This will probably be the last blog post for a while as I'm going into exam hibernation! I have my English poetry and R.E exams next week so Saturday is now called 'Sit At The Table and Do Not Move Until You Know Everything About Ethics and The Five Poems' day.
Also I've been motivated to do more Maths revision than ever because I got 17 out of 60 in the mock paper. It was so bad I found it hilarious at the time but now I've realised it should be the kick up the arse I need, although Ella and I did ask if we could move into the class below us next year as we're finding it hard to cope already! My mum sounded really disappointed when I told her I couldn't cope in the top set but it's for my own good if I move down (which I hope I'm allowed to).
Yesterday I was wondering if all the creativeness has been somehow zapped out me- I know it sounds stupid, but the other day I wrote an essay about the extraction of iron from the Earth's crust (interesting, I know) but I just wrote a load of utter crap without thinking about it, whereas usually I take everything seriously and plan it out before I even start writing. Other people have probably being doing this for years without batting an eyelid, but I've always considered myself to be a capable writer and I sort of shocked myself. Seriously though, we've hardly done any creative writing at school in years and I just don't have the time anymore.
I've never been the type who could invent a whole other world with ten different kingdoms and realms of complex characters, but I'll start small; a hamlet maybe?
I'll let y'all know how everything goes at some point:)

Liverpool!
Hello to my lovely readers! Firstly I need to say thank you for all the pageviews and to everyone who reads my posts; you are amazing and I really appreciate your interest! Virtual cake for all of you:)
Today I went to Liverpool with my mum and the little sister, I really enjoyed it! The city reminds me of Manchester but with much more culture, I loved the Albert Docks area especially. The shops were also great, I needed to save my money but I bought half of Emily's birthday present plus the second Fleet Foxes album, Helplessness Blues. I haven't listened to it yet but I love their first album so I'm sure I'll like it!
Unfortunately I can't post any photos because I only took my crappy BlackBerry but the weather was lovely and I took photos of the docks and the River Mersey. I think I might be a bit sunburnt actually!
I'm tired now from all the walking around so I'm relaxing on the sofa watching The Voice and mum is making a pizza. Tomorrow I'm going to Leeds with my Dad to see Dark Shadows and do some more shopping! Next weekend I'm going shopping again with Emily, Ella and Sasha- I'm a true shopaholic! I am looking for a Father's Day present though, so I have an excuse...
And yay, I've just realised Lord of the Rings is on! Tonight's viewing is sorted. I've haven't watched them in ages, I once watched all three films straight after each other when I was about ten. Happy days...
Anyway, must dash, I can smell pizza from the kitchen!

10th May (I almost wrote March then. Are you sure its not March?)
Hello! Do I dare go on Tumblr after the mass hysteria the other night...? Everything appears to be fine and dandy, bit slow though. I suppose if they were going to hack into an account, it wouldn't be mine!
I came across the admission policy for the sixth form I want to go to last night and I actually stand a better chance of getting a place than I thought! It's very selective and I don't really want to go anywhere else, except from a college that I could get into in my dream world where I look like Karen Gillan and get straight A* in everything. So yeah, looks like the first one. Apparently at the interview you have to display a talent, which I unfortunately lack. Seriously though, I think my main talent is History, but how do I display that? I don't really think the interviewers would like to read my 5000 word essay on China and Human Rights.
Today was comprised of a string of awkward moments and I have lots of homework to do- cry cry cry. It all needs to be done today or tomorrow because we're going to Liverpool for the day and then on Sunday I'm going to see Dark Shadows with my dad! I love Tim Burton films, usually because they star Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter! Sweeney Todd is the best, I don't understand why its rated an 18 though...maybe the CGI blood freaks some people out? Or maybe the slitting of people's throats? Wimps.
Right, I need to stop procrastinating and get some work done!
(You know I'll still be sat here in three hours time.)

Happy Bank Holiday!
So it's Bank Holiday Monday and as per usual it's raining! I didn't get out of bed until half past ten and I only had one piece of homework to do though so I'm a happy bunny:)
We got back from Bridlington yesterday instead of today as my grandma was moaning about it being freezing at night (which it was, but still) and my mum was tired of walking around. I was a bit annoyed as I wanted to stay for another night but I wanted to get home as well. Also, we had a near-death experience on the way home when my mum decided to overtake a lorry on a country road-you know the moment when you're mid-way through overtaking and you see a car coming straight in front of you and you miss crashing into it by a couple of seconds? Well yeah that happened.
I'm looking at tattoos on Tumblr now, even though I'm too young to have one! My dad is covered in tattoos and my mum has two (but she hates them) so I suppose it's natural that I want one when I'm older, even though I know it hurts like hell and I'm a wuss! I currently want a quill with ink-splodges coming out of it to symbolise my love of English and History, and the fact that I'm always covered in ink when I come home from school!
Ella texted me last night to say that the TMB tickets have arrived! I think I'll be more excited when all the exams and Geography camp are over and I can relax! I honestly can't think of anything worse than spending four days in a field with a group of chavs. On Friday they were all talking about when they got stoned and they keep saying 'werp' in a really strange voice. I've started saving up for an iPhone again. £375 to go! (Until next week when I spend it all)

Busy busy busy...
Helloooo guys, sorry for the lack of updates, this week has been another crazy one! I think I'll just have to accept that every week will probably be like this from now on. We're going to Bridlington again tomorrow as it's a long weekend, but the bad news is that I have to wake up at six tomorrow and it's going to be freezing! Oh and my grandma is coming. Such fun.
I'll get my stuff packed soon, I'm taking my scarf and gloves! My scarf is one of those with pockets at the end but I can't reach the pockets...it's a nice scarf though and it was only a fiver in the sale so I can't complain!
I'm not retaking the Maths exam after all, I'm just focusing on getting an A in the next one, although it's hard when I get so much homework!
I guess it's kinda good that I'm so busy, before I was just bored all the time but now I have lots of things to do and I suppose I feel better for it. Oh yeah, we're going to Liverpool for the day next weekend! I am truly am a busy bee! I've actually never been before even though it isn't that far so it should be good:)

TMB here we come!
We have the tickets!! Ella bought them before they went on sale with 02 priority moments:)
We're standing rather than sitting to get a better view, I'm debating whether or not take some slippers as my feet will be killing from queueing! On the plus side all under 14s have to buy a balcony ticket so at least we don't have to stand with them, I'm still worried about getting trampled by a giant though! I'm only 5"2 and a half so I'll have to wear stilts with my slippers!
Emily and I we're watching a video in Science which told you what to do to grow (she's even shorter than me), apparently you have to drink lots of water, exercise and eat healthily-that's not going to happen! I'm addicted to tea, quite lazy and I live on chocolate and cake.
We're all buying t-shirts for the concert, I'm getting a black one with the logo in silver foil, then later I'm going to buy a canvas bag with the logo on too:)
I'm trying to do some Maths homework at the moment, I got an A on the Circle Theorems project that took me ages but now she wants us to prove the theorems again as most of us didn't do it properly, by using the lessons on MyMaths, the world's worst website. I copied off MyMaths for the original homework so I don't know what to do now! I think I might just do it tomorrow as I can't be bothered today, I've just being watching TV since I got home from town. Shall post soon!

Super stressful yet amazing week!
Afternoon everyone! I have to say this week has been one of the most stressful yet brilliant weeks, there's been so much to do and think about!
I've been wondering about whether I should risk taking the Maths resit (I apologise for my indecisiveness, guys and gals, I can't help it!) because you have to stick with the grade you get the second time around, even if it is lower. Plus I've had a lot of homework which either take forever or are difficult. But here's the good news...
WE'RE GOING TO SEE THE MIDNIGHT BEAST!!! (And yes this definitely merits capital letters) The gig is on the 4th October at the O2 academy in Leeds and we're attempting to get some tickets on Saturday when they go on sale. The only problems I had was the fact that my mum was in a terrible mood when I wanted to ask her and the concert is on her birthday. But I succeeded with my persuasiveness and was a bit sketchy about the details and she let me go! Emily, Sasha and Ella are coming, and we might see Georgia and Ellea who are from our school and are lovely TMB fans there as well! I just hope we can get tickets as I have a feeling they'll sell out quickly! I couldn't get to sleep the other night as I was planning what to wear- and yes, I know I'm sad.
Today at English revision I invented a new flavour combination- eat a Bourbon biscuit and a yellow Skittle sweet at the same time and prepare for amazingness! It does sound strange but it's really nice. Honestly...
Final thought of the day: the more stressed we are, the more we pull together and the more laughs we have. Seriously cute but true!
Eden x
P.S- I'll post on Saturday to let you know if we actually manage to get tickets, fingers crossed for us!

Very speedy blog post!
Hello to you! I've just got back from my dad's house and I'm waiting for the new Jason Mraz CD, Love is a Four Letter Word, to upload to my iPod so I can listen to it whilst I'm having a relaxing bath:) I've had to take my beloved Horrible Histories Savage Songs episodes off so I have enough space though!
Today we went for a carvery in Leeds and it was gorgeous! The gammon was just amazing (gammon is my favourite meat) and you could have unlimited ice cream afterwards! You even got to work the ice cream machine yourself! I love that restaurant.
Scratch the first part, I've just had to take all the TV episodes off my iPod, even the Ashes to Ashes series finale! Oh and now it can't find the artwork. Brilliant work, iTunes.
Right, must dash, The Voice is on at half past seven!

Maths results...
Well...I got a B in my Maths exam! I know I said that I wouldn't retake if I got a B, but I'm seriously going to revise and try to get an A. Thankfully my teacher isn't forcing us to retake but I know if I don't make any silly mistakes and the paper has less probability questions I can do it! I got 88 points on the uniform marks scale thing which I don't really understand but I think that's a mid B. Plus all the colleges and universities I want to go to need you to have pretty much all A/A* grades (In Science I'm claiming that we had problems with staffing, which we did.)
So at the weekend I will buy sticky notes and folders to help me revise, plus the new Jason Mraz CD! So excited to listen to it!! I'm currently listening to Marina and the Diamonds on Spotify, pretty impressed so far, I especially like Primadonna:)

Halfway through a busy week!
Hello to you! I've been busier than expected other the past few days, but they've been okay:)
Geography revision on Monday was absolute hell. As soon as we walked in it smelt of smoke from all the chavs so I could sense things weren't going to go well from the off. The first half went pretty quickly as we were just going over things we did last term, but all the chavs decided they were going to mess around in the second half and the teacher got really annoyed as they were just being complete idiots whilst the rest of us were trying to learn. Seriously though, why even turn up if you're just going to mess around?
Tuesday was pretty normal although I was really worried about getting my Maths results back. The come back tomorrow but I don't feel that nervous about it now, que sera sera and all that!
Today I got the mark from the History coursework about China that I spent twelve hours slaving over-I got 40 out of 50, which is an A (just), so I need to make a few tweaks to get a couple of extra marks to make sure I definitely get my target when its moderated.
So...tomorrow is Maths results day...think happy thoughts for me! I always think I'm cursed when people wish me good luck so happy thoughts will have to do:)

Confessions of a Potterhead.
Bonjour! I'm super happy today because I found a copy of the Busted CD that I used to have before they split up, that I so desperately wanted back! even better, I bought it for £1.25 in a charity shop, rather than spending £8.99 on iTunes! I had a bit of a fangirl in the middle of the shop and then I couldn't stop smiling afterwards-very nerdy! I thought it might be scratched but I put it on to my iPod straight away and it works fine!
I had a bit of a DVD marathon yesterday, I watched Black Swan (thankfully whilst my mum was out) and then Bridesmaids in the afternoon. Black Swan was absolutely brilliant, especially the ending, and I loved it despite the terribly crap quality of my laptop! Bridesmaids has some really hilarious parts but I'd have found it funnier if I could hear it over the sound of the tumble dryer and my sister wondering in and out of the room! The dress fitting scene was the best:)
Also I swear I will move to London when I'm 18, I want a place at Queen Mary University of London because they do the degree course I want and it looks amazing! I know it's ridiculously expensive but I'll manage as I'm good at finding bargains!
Pottermore is open for all now, but I was lucky enough to get in last year. I have to say I was quite disappointed with the whole thing to be honest, but I'll tell you the story of my experience.
It was in the holidays and I couldn't get to sleep so I thought bugger it, I'll stay up and try to get in. So there I was until two am, checking my phone every 5 minutes to see if there was a clue. I went to sleep until six am and checked my phone, still no clue. It got to 10 am and I checked my laptop just in case- finally there was a clue! I frantically flicked through my old battered copy of the Chamber of Secrets, praying the answer wasn't on one of the missing pages, until I found the answer and entered it. Then I was directed to this website that had pictures from the films. I'll admit, pure adrenaline was pumping through me at this point, it was pretty exciting stuff! I was panicking until I realised that I had to click on the 'magical quill' and that would take me to Pottermore! I was given a choice of five names, so I picked ChaserDream74 and started to explore the first book. The best parts were getting your wand and being put in a house, although I can't remember what my wand is like and Hufflepuff was the last house I wanted to be in. So I finished the first book and that was it. I discovered I couldn't make potions for the life in me and there was nothing much else to do. I hope they'll open Chamber of Secrets soon, but I won't get all fangirly about it even though it is one of the best books in the series and I love the plot.
So that was my Pottermore experience, and this is probably the longest blog post ever! Thank you again if you've read any of my posts, you're the best!!

Happy (late) Easter!
Hello my lovelies! Hope you all enjoyed the Easter that didn't feel like Easter! I cannot believe the sheer amount of food I have consumed over this weekend; I've gone to sleep feeling sick from chocolate for two nights in a row now!
Also I've come to the conclusion that my sister grows stranger by the day- two minutes ago I heard a shout of "I've found Brian!!" then had this thing thrown at me:
If anyone knows what it is, answers on the back of a postcard please!
Tomorrow I'm going shopping with Emily and Ella in the hope that we can get some cheap Easter eggs! I think we'll be too late though, the supermarket was absolutely packed today, I was very annoyed at some people's lack of trolley driving skills!
I've finished all of my homework for the holidays but I still have to start revision for the exams. I looked through my Maths textbook yesterday but I couldn't really be bothered, then I saw a question that said "Calculate the density of a brick" and decided that was the final straw.
My mum's just made me a cup of tea and brought me Hob-Nobs (the best biscuits ever) so I'll be off now!

The full fringe returns...
Hello to my lovely readers! I just haven't been in the mood for writing over the past few days, I've been feeling really tired and lethargic:( But I feel a bit better now, I have that Friday feeling! Bridlington was good, we were even sat on the beach for a while! We came home the day before it snowed though...
Alton Towers was also amazing (alliteration!) except from Nemesis Sub-Terra. We queued for over an hour and the goo stuff from the seats has stained my jeans! Seriously, don't bother going on it if you're there, go on something better like Air or Oblivion! I was slightly worried as all the rides seemed to break down while we were there, thankfully not while we were on them though!
Today I've had my long llama fringe (as my sister called it) cut into a full fringe! I used to have one when I was younger but hopefully I look better this time around! I finally got bored of my old one in Bridlington because it was in my face all the time. I can't post a picture for some reason, I'll try next time:)
The days in this holiday have just blended into one, I realised today it's Friday and I've still got four pieces of homework and revision for six exams to do!
I hopefully will post soon, thank so much for reading!!

Eden is relaxed again:)
After yesterdays much needed rant I'm now relaxed again because I have two weeks off school and we're going to Alton Towers tomorrow!!
I think we're heading to Oblivion first then working our way around the park. Seriously, if you've never been, just go! It's brilliant! (Obviously don't if you hate big rides, but I'm a bit of an adrenaline junkie so for me its great) Apparently the new ride, Nemesis Sub-Terra isn't as good as the others, and a waste of £4 million, but we might go on it if the queue isn't too long and I'll see if the reviews are true.
I've sorted out my outfit already and I just need to ask my mum for money (always awkward) and pack my sweets and water then I'm ready!
This is just a short post but I didn't want to leave my last post for a few days as yesterdays!

Eden is stressed!
Everything is just happening at once and I'm so stressed and annoyed! I have to fill my work experience form in tonight because the one place I wanted to go didn't reply to my emails so now I'm in the hands of the careers service. Knowing my luck I'll end up in McDonald's for a week! I have to number 5 types of placement in order of preference and I can't decide what to put. I know I want to put library work, retail pharmacist (although I can't see how that'll work seen as you have to train for years to be able to sell medicine), florist's assistant, retail sales and either legal and administration, but I don't know which order to put them in! And trust me, if you think they sound crap, they're the best of a bad bunch.
I honestly have no idea why they need the forms in now-I'm doing my work experience in October which is seven months away! The form asks whether you're travelling by car and I have no idea because I don't know where the placement will be!
I've spent five hours over the last few days on this Circle Theorems project for Maths that we've only actually only spent two lessons learning in class and she expects us to do it to A* standard. I've put so much time into it that I never want to see it again, I don't care about my grade! Also, they've put my in for the Maths Unit 1 resit before I find out my grade for it, and it's two days before the Unit 2 exam which is twice as difficult! I said I'd be perfectly happy with a B but they won't rest until I get an A! I don't need Maths in the future so I as long as I pass I'm happy! I tried my best in that exam and I can't do any better no matter how much I revise.
It's Alton Towers on Friday and then we're going to Bridlington so I won't post until Wednesday but at least I can get away from school and relax!
Sorry for my very long rant, it's over now:)

March 21st (I can't think of a good title so the date shall suffice)
Wow sorry guys, been so busy again! We went to English revision earlier for the poetry exam on the 24th May, but we spent most of the time eating doughnuts and biscuits! We're going to see the Hunger Games on Friday night and it's non-uniform day-I'm prepared for the sea of Jack Wills body warmers and hoodies! I'm super excited for the film though, it'll be interesting to see how they've chosen to portray it:)
I'm also quite worried about the Chemistry exam-on the exam timetable we were given today, it said the exam lasted one hour forty-five minutes, but as we've learnt Chemistry from scratch in five months, I don't think I know nearly enough about it to fill all that time! The Geography exam is easy-peasy though:-)
Also supposed to be doing a project on circle theorems but I don't know what they are and I don't have paper and I'm rubbish at drawing with a compass and my angles never measure what they're supposed to and I just hate Maths okay but there's an exam on the 13th.
My compass is looks really cool though and I'm listening to good music and I shall be fine. In theory.

A very long blog post
Sorry again...I've been unexpectedly busy and completely worn out all this week! Tuesday night was review and I had homework for Science to do in one night after they sprung an exam on us, Wednesday night was Parents Evening (less awkward than I thought) and I've had part two of my Science exam today, plus other homework which can wait for now because I've been neglecting my blog!
I forgot to mention in my last post that we found out the results of our Physics and Biology exams that we sat in January and that I was so worried about failing...I got a C and a B! I was pretty close to a B in the Physics and I probably won't have to retake it so I'm a happy bunny! Just the Chemistry exam in June and a couple more tests then I will have one of my Science GCSEs! (Being very optimistic here,it will take a lot of hard work and stress!)
I've just found out that the English poetry exam has been moved forward to the 24th May, then I have Chemistry, short-course R.E and Geography to take in June;anticipating lots of stress! Enough of me wittering on about exams though-let's move on to more exciting stuff!
Last night my mum booked a holiday flat in Bridlington for 3 nights, and it's the day after we go to Alton Towers, so I'll be very tired but it's good to have a change of scenery I suppose! I love looking at the sea, just not going in it...
Next Friday is non-uniform day for Sport Relief and Emily, Ella, Sasha and I are going to see The Hunger Games; we read the books and they were absolutely brilliant so we have high hopes for the film! The trailer looks good but I hope it lives up to all the hype:) I'm also *running* a mile for Sport Relief; it is a very worthy cause but as I can't even walk up the stairs without getting out of breath there isn't much hope of me achieving the challenge!
Mother's Day should be good as my mum is cooking a dinner for my sister, my grandma, possibly my auntie and moi (for those of you who think I should be cooking the dinner, not in a million years) and I put the tea, coffee and sugar pot things in the kitchen to see how they looked; thankfully they looked fine, I just hope my mum agrees!
I'm looking forward to the Easter holidays a lot, only one week and four days to go then I'm free! Excluding a three-hour Geography revision session, that is...

Shopping!
Hello! Firstly I'd like to say a quick thank you to everyone who read my post yesterday, there was rather a lot of you!
The shopping trip today was good, although I'm disappointed in Boots as the 2 for £13 offer wasn't on and they didn't have the Soap and Glory face scrub I wanted! However, on the positive side, I was able to buy the pair of shorts I've been searching for in Topshop! They're a good investment as you can wear them in Winter with tights and in Summer:) Although I hibernate inside in Summer as it's too warm for me sometimes! I also bought the final Mother's Day present on behalf of my sister, it's a bracelet from Accessorize which was kindly wrapped up in tissue paper for me, luckily I have a tiny bit of wrapping paper left!
This guy in the shopping centre was walking away from Sainsbury's carrying a 16-pack of beer, then we hear this almighty bang and there's beer all over the floor! Most of it survived but he looked very embarrassed/annoyed...it was funny to everyone else though!
I'm currently making my very snazzy review presentation to show my form tutor, just trying to re-word it as I've only really made progress in two subjects:/
Back to school tomorrow, I don't know why but I just have this really good feeling about tomorrow...probably because we finish after fourth lesson!

Shopping weekend!
Hello lovelies! Things appear to have calmed down on the homework and exam front, so I'll be posting more over the next few weeks:)
I've just finished wrapping the Mother's Day presents which I bought last week, although I still have one to buy on behalf of my sister and I'm a few tag things short. I must say that we buy the most awkwardly-shaped presents! My sister bought a box of truffles that I can't even describe the shape of and I bought a wine glass (I'll admit it's not the best wrapping on that one).
I was very stressed this morning as I had to buy so many things like cards and gift bags! I actually got cash out of the cash machine for the first time as well...yay me! The second part of the shopping extravaganza continues tomorrow with the girls- we're taking advantage of the 3 for 2 offer at Boots! We've been planning what we're going to get on the website in I.T all week, I just hope they have everything we want or there'll be trouble!
It's weekends like these that feel as though they'll never end, I hate it when I have to wake up at 7.30 on Monday morning. One positive of next week is that we finish school an hour early almost every day:) I'll post tomorrow after my spending spree!

Apologies!
A massive sorry to anyone who expects regular blog posts from me! After next week I promise to update more as things are so busy at the moment!
I stayed over at my dad's on Saturday and came home on Sunday night so I didn't have time to do any homework and I still haven't completed everything now... I've just finished 6 pages of History revision notes which I had to copy out again because they weren't neat enough so I think I deserve a break! Next week is Parent's Evening and Review Week, and my mum is stressed because I need £60 by next week to pay for school trips, and then another £55 to pay for the rest later! I'm on a mission to get my debit card from my grandma as my mum has stopped me using it in case I withdraw all my savings ( which I wouldn't do anyway).
Hopefully I'll go Mother's day shopping with the rest of the Triple E group on Sunday and get some new clothes for Alton Towers which is one of the trips with school. In fact, it's the best trip! We started making a plan of which rides we're going to go on and in what order today; as you can probably tell, we're super excited!!

Back to blogging!
Second attempt at posting this as my internet crashed halfway through writing and didn't save!
Sorry for not posting for ages, been super busy revising for the Maths exam that I sat today and doing other homework! Fingers crossed that I'll get a B :)
If anyone has any ideas for a Mother's Day present that isn't chocolates, cookery books, jewellery or CDs, answers on the back of a postcard please! Or just comment...
Can't actually think of anything to post at the moment, so have a good Friday night everyone!

Rant about the British music industry
I'll be honest, I didn't watch the Brit awards last night for one simple reason-I get almightily annoyed when solo artists/bands win just because they are good looking and have managed to produce one remotely catchy song (which they probably didn't even write).
I also get frustrated when World War Three breaks out on social networking sites about who should have won; most of the awards are decided by the group of people in charge of the awards. Can we influence their decision? No. Are we ever going to be in that group? Probably not.
The 'Outstanding Contribution to Music' award created the most painful Facebook statuses. If my generation weren't completely ignorant, they'd realise that Blur were one of the most popular bands of the 90's and one of the best bands Britain has produced-we should be proud of them instead of giving them an endless torrent of "who da hell r blur? get off da stage plz".
Another reason why the state of the music industry in general annoys me is how important looks are to fans; if Niall from One Direction was a 39 year old balding man with a beer belly, how many girls would like him? Similarly, when a member of a band I like gets married or finds a partner, I'm happy for them. I don't start sending her death threats at all hours and insulting her. Why? Because he's never even going to give me a second look; he doesn't know I even exist.
To be honest, I haven't a clue what most of the bands I listen to look like. If they walked past me in the street I wouldn't know, but I appreciate them because they produce good music, not because they're good-looking or wear nice clothes.
Rant over, I feel refreshed now!

Happy Pancake Day everyone!
Sorry about the bad sound quality, but here is my third vlog! Please have a look, it's stuck on a lowly seven views at the moment:(

Many thanks if you watch!
Anyway, today was the first day back at school and, thankfully, it went quite fast:) I'm now listening to Bon Iver after eating my pancakes with golden syrup! I've been getting into Bon Iver recently after hearing Skinny Love- there's definitely an element of Fleet Foxes in their overall sound, which is a good thing! Also, Ella and I have made a pact to give up Temple Run for Lent...not sure how long that will last!
I originally went on the computer to revise so I shall keep this short!

Half term boredom
Sorry that I haven't posted in a while, with it being half term things have been pretty boring-I've been going into town then back home in time for Loose Women! I think the most interesting thing this week has been going to the Fox's Biscuits factory shop... I'm about to watch the last ever episode of Hustle now,I tried not to read the spoilers last night but I caught the gist of what happened-I heard it was a perfect ending! Congratulations to everyone involved, it's been a brilliant show:-)
Stay tuned until Monday folks, I'm going to see The Woman In Black with my mum and I've heard it's terrifying!

Adjusting to life as a redhead...
Bonjour peeps! I went to the hairdressers as planned on Monday, and returned with my hair like this:
I look slightly demented in this photo, sorry! But I really like the colour, it gives me an excuse to wear lots of red lipstick!
Also...happy Valentines day to you couples or happy Tuesday to you singles like me!
Literally just read on Twitter that Sherlock series 3 could be aired by the end of the year;I hope this is true! 2012 is already proving to be a brilliant year in terms of TV/film:-)
I'm so tempted to buy the second Fleet Foxes album on iTunes but I must resist! I managed to go shopping today without buying anything, I think this is the first step on the road to shopaholic recovery!

*Insert inventive,witty title here*
Sorry for not posting over the last few days, I've been ill:( I should apologise to Emily for scaring her when I felt ill in French, stood up to go to the medical room, went dizzy and almost blacked out (then proceeded to throw up). My grandad came to pick me up and I didn't want to risk coming to school the next day so I stayed at home and watched Doctor Who. I'm feeling a lot better now though, and I have the eyeliner! After a month of searching the county for it,they finally got it in stock:-)
I'm just packing my stuff now as I'm staying over at my dad's house tonight-yay! We're having a pizza for tea and watching TV, I've packed my Christmas print onesie to snuggle up in;I will post a picture of me in it one day, I look like Buddy the elf! (If you don't know who Buddy the elf is,you should be ashamed of yourself.)
I've finally started the book that Ella bought me for Christmas, it's called Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver. I shall post some more about it as I get further on in the plot, but basically it's about a girl who has to live her last day over and over again.
I'm getting my hair coloured on Monday-I'm very nervous! Hopefully it'll turn out well...
Last thought for the day: pale skin is better than tanned skin/lots of make-up, right? Someone needs to notify everyone of this.

No vlog, so this will have to do...
I'm feeling too lazy this week to do a vlog, sorry guys! I'll probably leave it until next week (half term!), and after Monday when I get my hair coloured, so I don't confuse you all when I randomly appear with darker hair! I'm hoping to go a golden brown colour, but we'll see...
The reason I'm feeling lazy is that I wasn't expecting to have to go into school today due to the snow that speedily came down on Saturday night after my previous post! All the sludgey stuff turned to ice this morning but it's almost all disappeared now:( I managed not to fall on the ice, and today went pretty quickly so I don't really mind.
I shall now go make myself a cup of tea as I drank a grand total of 6 cups over the weekend and I'm now suffering withdrawal symptoms!

Snow Saturday!
The snow has finally arrived but it's a bit rubbish. It does look really pretty though, it's that type of snow with little swirling delicate flakes:-) Not expecting any days off school for me! It is the last week before half term though so I don't really mind. Ella and I had an attempt at Skype last night, but we couldn't find each other! There was four possible Ella's that she could have been...very confusing! I think Ella found me eventually but I didn't receive a request or anything. Hmmm...
I've also got a bit of cold, but I'm mainly alright in the day, it's just the evenings when my nose starts streaming! I'll probably post tomorrow because we'll be in the house all day due to the dreaded ice! (Absolute death trap...)

I live for Fridays, okay?
Is it the weekend yet? I am so excited for this weekend because...snow!!! I heard its meant to arrive on Saturday night, I'm such a little kid!
We did our little Medusa performance today, it went pretty well and we all got an A so I'm happy:) I was so nervous before as we followed the two best groups, I had a kinda sore throat (Em rescued me with a Strepsil though) and it was the first time we'd practiced on the stage. I really enjoyed doing it but I'm glad it's over!
I've just finished my Geography homework so I don't have anything that can't wait until the weekend. I made a new Twitter account last night as my old one was getting too hectic and I followed too many random reality stars, I kinda didn't feel I could express myself without people judging and that isn't how you should feel-Tweeting and blogging are all about sharing your opinions and feelings.
Feeling frustrated by Spotify because it won't let you play songs more than five times and I'm one of those people who play songs non-stop for a couple of weeks then get bored and move on to something else. Trying to listen to Foster The People and MGMT as they seem like the type of music I usually listen to.
I'll link my new Twitter to here instead of the old one but I'll still Tweet more on the old one because it's the account I have on my phone so it's easier:)
I'd also like to say thank you for taken the time to read this and/or watching my vlog, it means a lot!

The end of January is near...
Happy end of January day! I must say that I'm pretty glad this month is over, it's been so long that I can't even remember half of what's happened in it! Hopefully February will be more interesting and brings snow with it! I'm seriously annoyed that there's hardly been any so far this year. Grr.
I really must start to revise for this maths exam on the 2nd of March, I'm not too worried about it now but I usually start to panic about two days before. Also our little Jeremy Kyle show featuring the characters from the myth of Medusa has to be ready for Thursday when we perform it! We'll be fine, we can always improvise...the same can't be said for my (non-existent) acting skills though!
As I said in my vlog (thank you if you've watched it by the way!), I'm probably not doing work experience in the summer as I have to go to Geography camp in Wales-noooooo!! I told my mum and the first thing she said was: "So how much is that going to cost then?"
I'm sat on my bed listening to Teenagers by My Chemical Romance-what a song! Makes a change from my usual quiet melodic stuff:)

Vlog 2! (the vloggy vlog vlog)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bR7AQjcO0dQ&feature=g-upl&context=G26c7d72AUAAAAAAAAAA
My new vlog is here! It's stuck on two views so far, so please give it a watch! It is slightly longer than the last one, however that's due to me totally forgetting what I was about to say-it is Monday after all! Thanks again to anyone who watched the last one:)
I'm waiting for the apple crumble (courtesy of my mum) to finish baking now...

To vlog or not to vlog?
Evening:) I really can't decide whether to do a vlog tomorrow. I have spots and homework to do, but I do have quite a lot to say, unlike last time!
Hmm...
Stay tuned to see, I'll see how I feel/look tomorrow! Perhaps I won't have to go to school as it looks like there'll be some snow in the next few days, I'm waiting for the weather report on the regional news now. Think it'll be more 'down south' though:(
